Our Visit to Banff National Park

Ok several people have asked that we start our blog up again soooo here goes. Just remember it's been awhile.

On June 8th we started on our trip going up thru North Dakota and into Winnipeg, Manitoba traveling thru Saskatchewan into Alberta.  Don't ever do this!! For 750+ miles we felt like we were back in Texas - nothing but flat open field after fields of wheat I guess.  Any way here are some pics of our visit to Banff National Park.

This is a glacier in the park - can you see the little people and cars down below - well they are all walking out to the glacier and this big jeep -  I guess (the Ice Explorer).  It takes people up and on the glacier as you can see in the second picture.  And no we didn't but yes someone did want to go but it takes about 1/2 hour to walk out to the glacier and then it's another 1+ hour on the ice and well we had to get on our way to Lake Louise.

Here are some pics of the beautiful scenery we saw traveling up to Lake Louise.

  1. Is it true that these strange formations, along with many other sight were created by erosion in this small beautiful canyon.
