Oshkosh, WI #2 July 25, 2011

Ok, this is the part that I liked - the Air Show with the Warbirds doing their thing and all the other planes with their their aerobatic moves.

This is FiFi coming in to land.  It's the only B-29 left flying.

Ok these next photos are for Zack our grandson - and no we're not going to buy it for you! lol

I wanted to get a picture of what our camp site was like so I had Will climb up on top of the motor home and take a few pics. Notice the roads - all the mud and it just kept getting worse and worse.

A close up of FiFi on the field.

And here's what our skies looked like almost every night!

All in all we had a great time - now we're on our way to my Sis Karen & Don's house in PA to get ready for our land/railroad and cruise to Alaska.

Oshkosh, WI #1 July 25, 2011

Well we finally made it to Oshkosh - this was one of the big things on Will's bucket list.  I must say I've never been to a function like this before.  There were approx. 40 to 50,000 motor homes and about 30,000 planes and everywhere you looked people! lol  But we had a lot of fun even in the rain and mud - lots of mud!!

Here are a few pics of a great place we stayed on the way to Oshkosh in West Salem, WI - had a beautiful view of the lake and had a great time at the restaurant and the stores.

Ok now we start with the planes - don't ask me to name them but someone can name them all.  He was in 7th heaven all the time we were there.

All the fields were filled with airplanes and it you looked at another field it was filled with motorhomes!!

Did we walk these fields - you betcha - and we have a picture of almost every plane!

Lakewood/Golden, CO July 12, 2011

After Estes we came down the mountain to Golden, CO.   Connie has a beautiful house in Lakewood about 5 miles away.   One of the days we visited Red Rocks Amphitheater.  Too bad we didn't have more time - would have loved to go to a concert there - what a view.

During the day people go here to exercise.

This kid was walking up the stairs BACKWARDS - go figure.

THEN we took a tour of the Coors plant.   Had a great time - didn't realize how much went into making beer.

The assembly line - wow that's a lot of beer they put out.

Some of the flowers they had outside the plant.

Every afternoon we would have storms - but the clouds put on a great show.
