Jerome, AZ

Hi!

While we were in Camp Verde, AZ we also visited the little mining town of Jerome.  It once was a very booming town since they were located right above a huge deposit of copper, gold and silver.  Once the mining was done it fell to ruin. Today it's filled with artists, writers, musicians, hippy's and gypsy's!! (so we fit right in lol)  It is also a shopping paradise! I know 3 sis's that would have a ball.  We had lunch at a place called the Haunted Hamburger - they say it's still haunted today (I think that's how those french fries got on my plate).  Here are a few pics.

Theses are the steps you had to climb to get to the Haunted Hamburger Restaurant

This was the view from the restaurant

Our last sunset at Camp Verde, AZ

Camp Verde, AZ

Hi - here are a few pic's of our visit to the Montezuma Castle and the Montezuma Well.

It's amazing looking at the Castle that people really lived up there - they built ladders to climb from one area to another  - hopefully my "cave man" would have gotten us a bottom floor room!

The Montezuma Well was quite a site.   They said that they sent divers down in the well to check how deep it was but it got so murky and went so much further down that they brought the divers back up for their safety.

Another beautiful sunset in Arizona - enjoy - xoxo

Tiny's Restaurant

We went to dinner here the other night - Tiny's is the place where all the cowboys come after the rodeo is over for the day.  It's a very unique place as you can see - the food was the best we've have in Tucson and the quantity makes for two meals at least.

This was in the little girls room!!  lol

From the parking lot at Tiny's this is what you see  - beautiful.
