This is the view driving out to Homer Spit. It jets (spits) out for 4 miles and is a long narrow bar of gravel. In 1964 after the earthquake it sank 4 to 6 feet - a lot of the buildings had to be rebuilt.
This is the another view of the town across the bay at low tide.
Patiently waiting at the bar while I take pictures.
OKKKK - Here's all the fish we caught!!!
Well maybe this guy did!! This is what a halibut looks like. Everywhere you looked this was the scene. Have never seen so many charter boats. Homer says they are the "Halibut Fishing Capital of the World" and I believe it.
The marina there is huge. They accommodate cruise and large cargo ships.
We were taking a walk and looked up and saw this eagle flying toward us.
He landed right above us and just sat there.
Beautiful Beautiful
